    Texas with Hillary and Barack

A campaign aide to Hillary Clinton said Friday that the Texas primary next month could prove decisive – a far cry from expectations months ago that the contest would be settled long before March 4.

"We think Texas is going to play an important role in the nominating process, and we're excited about our prospects there," said Guy Cecil, the Clinton campaign's national political and field director. "We are taking Texas very seriously."

Well that is just great. Texas could be the state that ends this contest. But just who will Texas Democrats vote for? Young folks and Black folks will vote for Obama. So will Anglo men according to what has happened in the other states.

Women and voters over 40 will vote for Clinton. So will Hispanics at least that is what the other states have shown. And in Texas they could be 25% or more of the vote.

This Analyst thinks that by the time we get to March 5th Senator Obama will have the momentum to get the nomination. In New York state young folks, under 30 turned out 5 times more than in 2004. The same was true in other states and they voted for the most part for Senator Obama. Isn’t that what we want as Democrats? Don’t we want to have a large turnout from folks under 30 for the Democratic nominee?

And the exit polls show that Hillary voters would be fine with Obama as the nominee and Obama folks would be OK with Hillary. I just wonder if Obama is not on the ticket if the young folks will turn out and go vote or will they be disillusioned and stay home?

Another month to consider if we want Bill Clinton in the Whitehouse trying to serve his wife the President. But then is Obama ready to be the Commander in Chief? With McCain as the GOP nominee that could be the main issue.

Oh, this will be fun over the next month. Bring it on!
