=A0 Watching the Sunday=A0concert on the Mall with the Obamas reminded me of on= e I attended with the late Billy Carr in 1993 with the Clintons.=A0 It was = cold then as it will be tomorrow in Washington but the excitement kept us a= ll warm.=A0 It hardly seems that was 16 years ago. =A0 So as I set here in Crystal Beach watching the inauguration in Washington I= think back to the other celebrations I have attended in DC to watch a new = President be sworn in.=A0 The first was in 1977 for Jimmy Carter.=A0=A0 The= last was 1997 for Bill Clinton.=A0 I have never been so hopeful for a new = President as I am for Barack Obama.=A0=A0 Even though he takes over with wa= y more problems then did those two Presidents.=20 =A0 And tonight is the famous Texas Black Tie and Boots party.=A0 It will be=A0= a mob scene=A0and the lines will be long for drinks and the dance floor wil= l be crowded.=A0But Texas Democrats and those who want to be Texans will ha= ve a big time in DC. =A0 =A0 Tomorrow I will say a prayer for our new President and pray that he can cha= nge our nation and survive the next four years.=A0He starts with a big appr= oval rating and the good wishes of the nation.
