    West with Wilson, #4, 2006

    West with Wilson., Aug 22

We had a great time in Riudoso with our friends. I did get to see lots of deer, up close and I think they were just as confused with me as I was with them. We look a lot alike. But no bear.

I did manage to steal 4 bisquits from the stove and ate them all before anyone could stop me. I thought they left them for me.

George lost some more money, but our hostist won so it worked out. We left in a rain storm and it rained on us for about 100 miles. Made me nervious again. In fact the desert had standing water in it and it rained on us again in AZ. I guess if you want rain just have the two of us driving along and you will get it.

Gas is cheap in Phoenix. $2.79 for regular. We paid $3.09 in NM.

We are in Phoenix with George's family. His brother, Bob and his family and now the new grandson. I took a long trip with Bob a few years ago so I know him well and I feel right at home. Just got up on the couch and went to sleep.

The new addition, Jack, is 7 months old and very cute. He is not scared of me and I let him pull my ears and pat me on the back. Little babies and I get along just fine. We are staying with Jack's parents and they have a nice house filled with baby stuff. I found my way to the bedroom and that is where I am staying. We are sharing the room with Jack and I peek in on him from time to time. He makes funny noises when he sleeps.

We will be here today and then the long drive to Seattle tomorrow.
