New poll shows Bell gaining? Governor Perry target of new poll.

Is there a new poll out that shows Chris Bell within 5% of Rick Perry? The Internet is a buzz with the "results" of a poll perhaps done for another statewide candidate that shows Perry at 32% and Bell at 27%. Another poll published by Survey America has the race Perry 36%, Bell 26%. The Gossips wonder if either of these polls is accurate.

    >But the Gossips also wonder if Bell is about to hit Perry on TV over the >Governor's relationships with a couple of rich guys and a private utility >firm. Someone is polling on Houston homebuilder Bob Perry, the private >utility TXU and James Leininger the voucher guy. And as far as tje >Gossips know it is independent poll not paid for by a campaign. Governor >Perry has taken lots of money from all three and the poll was asking about >Bob Perry's hiring of undocumented workers, on TXU's plans to build coal >fire power plants in Texas and Leininger move to fund folks who want to >allow vouchers in public schools. Bob Perry is the same guy who funded >the anti Kerry ads for the swift boat folks in 2004and is spending lot >this election to elect Republicans to Congress. TXU wants to build power >plants using coal and the envirormantists are in oppostion to these >plans. And of course the teachers and public education folks are never >happy with the plan for vouchers in Texas and the Governor has made no >secret of his support for vouchers. With less then two weeks for the >election if you are going to do new TV spots you best get moving. And >does Bell have the funds for a large new buy for a new TV ad? Stay toned.
