The Gossips are reading the Drudge report which says that Hillary will get out of the race when and if she loses NH. That seems just a little wishful thinking on the part of Senators Obama and Edwards. However Senator Clinton will have major problems with Barack Obama if he wins NH with a large margin. He will have momentum to go to South Carolina where about half to the Democratic voters are African-American.
And would a big win by Senator Obama cause Al Gore to take another look at entering the race? Could he get on the ballot in Texas and some other large states? Or would the word go out that a vote for Hillary is a vote for Al. A Gore/Obama ticket would be very interesting.
And the Gossips wonder just what would happen in Texas if Senator Obama is the Democrat’s standard bearer? The Texas GOP has been hoping for a Hillary at the top of the ticket, but Obama could just change the picture. Think of all the young folks, people of color who might just turn out to vote for Barack Obama if he was the Democratic nominee. He already has shown his ability to appeal to Independents.
The Gossips think that all Republican candidates should be very worried about Obama’s coat tails if he is the winner of the Democratic primaries.
