This finds me the day before Election Day in Phoenix AZ on a beautiful fall day. I did vote by absentee finally. I had to send it back by UPS in order to get it back to Galveston by 7PM tomorrow. But at least I voted in spite of hurricane IKE, being homeless, being in AZ and wondering just what happened in the past two months. My good friend Paul Bettencourt, the Tax Assessor for Harris County decided that I was not qualified to vote in Harris County because I did not state that I was a U.S. citizen. I have only voted in Texas every year since 1970. I hope Paul wakes up Wednesday morning as a former elected official.

I do think Senator Obama will be elected President. I think some Democrats will finely get elected in Harris County TX (the Houston area) and perhaps Democrats will win back the Texas State House of Representatives. I doubt we will have a Democratic in the U.S. Senate until 2010 or that Democrats will take over the Texas state Senate this year.

And this may be one of the final messages I send to you. For over 13 years I have owned www.political.com and have used it to write my opinion on politics. But it looks like a nice person wants to buy it from me and the sale could happen this week. It has been fun and I have “met” many nice folks as a result. Thanks to all my readers and fans of Wilson and of course my old dog ,Truman.
